Ukrainska Pravda launches podcast: “24.02: The Invasion Reconstructed”

On February 24th, 2024, we commemorated the second anniversary of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops. This date also marks the unveiling of the highly anticipated podcast series titled “24.02: The Invasion Reconstructed,” produced by Ukrainska Pravda. It is one of the leading media outlets covering Ukrainian affairs and one of our BOOSTERS in the Stars4Media NEWS programme alongside their partner, The Fix Foundation.

Launched on 23 February, the series follows a storytelling approach, incorporating testimonies from key figures such as President Volodymyr Zelenski, military commanders, intelligence officials, and ordinary citizens. In the words of Ukrainska Pravda’s Managing Editor of the English Edition, Alina Poliakova, this podcast offers a “comprehensive and nuanced exploration of one of the most significant events in recent history”.

The first episode delves into the events leading up to the invasion, including mounting tension and the rumors regarding the start date of the war. It sheds light on Russian preparations, on the Ukrainian efforts to repel the attack, and on the events of 24 February from 00:00 to 05:00. You can listen to the episode narrated by Ben McBride here
