Europe Médialab is a “Think-And-Do Tank” for a healthy media sector in Europe, also ‘reconnu d’utilité publique. The MédiaLab – initially Fondation Euractiv – has the same founder as the media Euractiv (which has been sold to Mediahuis in 2023).

Communication Assistant (Intern)
(Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle)
Possible starting date: May 2026
Contract: Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle (6 months, renewable for another 6 months)
Job Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a young professional to gain hands-on experience in media, tech EU affairs, communications, and project support. You will work closely with the organisation’s leadership to enhance productivity, visibility, and impact across EU projects, philanthropy, and public-private partnerships: supporting high-level contacts and networking.
Main tasks will include:

Draft communication content (newsletter, social media post, website page etc)

Support the organisation of monthly events at Maison du MédiaLab
-
Assist in the preparation of presentations, proposals, communication and public relations materials
-
Help coordinate our presence at external events and conferences
-
Maintain databases, update contact lists, and support CRM systems
-
Provide logistical and administrative support
-
Manage travel, agenda & logistics for trips & events
Profile:
-
Master’s Degree in Journalism, European Studies, Political Science, Communications
-
Strong interest in EU affairs, media, communications, and fundraising
-
Already internship in the Brussels EU bubble preferred
-
Excellent command of written and spoken English, knowledge of French or Eastern European language is a plus
-
Organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines
-
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a small, agile team
-
Strong IT skills, especially with MS Office, Google Workspace, and digital collaboration tools

Creative design using Canva, producing visually engaging content
-
Up-to-date knowledge of current social media trends and digital engagement strategies
-
Basic website management and content updates using WordPress
-
Basic video editing skills (CapCut, VN Video Editor)
